Welcome to the International Discussion Group
on the Thermodynamics of Cements.
This group was founded at the 12th International Congress on the
Chemistry of Cements held in Montreal, Canada 2007.
Our goals are to provide a forum on which strong collaborations
could be built in this technical area. Particularly, we seek to
promote:
- Discussions, through maintaining an e-mail forum
- Exchange, harmonisation and testing of thermodynamic data
- Development of test cases for use in model development
- Development of collaborations between members, such as
proposals, publications and technical meetings
The group is not exclusive, anyone with an interest in this
subject is welcome to contribute.
This list is not intended for commercial use, but if you wish to
send notices of meetings, publications, recruitment vacancies or
calls for proposals/partners, please do so.
This list server is hosted by MIRO, the Minerals Industry Research
Organisation, please see:
www.miro.co.uk
On first joining, you are invited to send a few lines describing
your interests, along with your contact details to the other list
members.
Technically, the discussion group covers all aspects of the science
of cements and related materials and although much of the traffic is
likely to concern cement hydrate chemistry, discussion threads on
other subjects such as gas-phase, groundwater or high temperature
clinker reactions are welcome.
